So its been awhile since I posted anything and there's nothing like a graveyard shift to catch up. My moods might swing one way or the other during this posting depending on what calls I get.
OK so far since starting this I've gotten 3 911 calls for stupid-ass shit involving the same dumb-asses. We should have a frequent flyer card for our regulars. Each call they get this card punched. After their card gets filled up they are subjected to an old-school whoopin with batons.>.<

OK back to blogging. Since my last blog, actually alot has happened. My son has turned 17, my daughter has turned 15, and we had our 20th anniversary! My son got his decked out Letterman's jacket for his birthday. My daughter got a trip with dad up to Oregon for some shopping and ice-skating. Our anniversary was uneventful and I actually think one or both of us was working.
Been snowboarding only a couple of times this year. A downfall of having only one vehicle in the family. However one of those trips was awesome as I met up with Gordon Metz and his girlfriend, and Shawn Bates came up and we all had a blast on local Mt Shasta. I hadn't been in awhile and it started out rough but turned out an awesome day on the slopes.
Trail Machine trip is in the works and I can't wait. August sometime, somewhere. Grand Tetons has been mentioned but we'll see where we end up going. Been slowly getting a few things for the trip which will make all my trips easier. Already got some small item and a new backpack. My next purchases will be some new boots and a tent.
Still playing WoW but have recently transferred my rogue to a new server, Emerald Dream. What a difference! Went from a dead server to one that is so busy I almost had to turn trade chat off. Dozens of ICC runs being advertised, as well as tons of other raids looking for people. So much different than The Scryers. Not sure what keeps my other toons there at this point, probably the wonderful friends I've made. /sigh
Work has been a little frustrating. Part time sucks and with the addition of another part timer my hours haven't been what I was expecting for being here over 2 years now. So I am actively looking for work elsewhere. Not too hard locally as our town is dwindling and jobs are nonexistent. Been really looking for a job with the Forest Service in the dispatch field. I applied for one Fire Dispatch job over in Fortuna which I felt I was well qualified for. Been awhile and never heard anything which is always disappointing. Lot of seasonal stuff out there which I'm trying to avoid. I need something permanent, damnit!If I hadn't fucked up with past 'decision-making' I would probably already be easily into a career by now.
My wife's job has been real smooth and she seems to be really enjoying it. She is well liked and does an awesome job. They have been sending her to a ton of week-long training down in the Sacramento area lately which means I have been bachloring it with the kids a lot lately. All that training only means more advancement in her future. She deserves the best because she is the best. Without her I'd be one sorry guy. We may be opposites but I love her with all my heart and soul.
We got a new kitten named Blossom. We have had a lot of cats and still have 5 at the house, but Blossom has more personality than any cat I've ever seen. She is something else. Our dog, Sage is still going strong even with her sore hips and old age. Still our little baby as far as we're concerned.
April and the weather hasn't improved much. Not that I complain because the bad weather keeps the crazies inside. As soon as the weather warms up our call count at work skyrockets. Not to mention that means fire season starts up and my wife will really be busy during fire season.
Besides my usual recorded weekly shows I watch, I've been watching some cool shows on DVDs I purchased. I finally finished the entire Stargate series. SG-1 and Atlantis...that's alot of shows. Now I've been watching the Battlestar Gallactica series and am on the last season. Awesome series, I just wish Caprica was as decent because I've been really disappointed with it so far.
Well probably some other things I could write about but I'm losing focus and watching a movie on tv at work so gonna call it.
