Take a Thrashin

Woke one morning dead in bed
Thought that day I'd lost my head
Out the door they spread their lies
Take me deeper in your eyes
Tumbling past, there lays a rest
A peaceful place to build a nest
Sounds like wishes movin' in
Remember the things I thought again
Falling through, trapped in time
In my world of pantomime.

Leave my tracks in fields of wheat
wrapped within my private sheet
Hallowed ground hears endless cries
A mountain deep within me sighs
A day beyond the yesterday
The future hears what you may say

Catch my tears from out of site
Dreamless days turn into night
Thundering shadows
Deepening shallows
Each word a wonder sounds so right
Echoes make the darkness bright
Frantic shallow breaths
Scattered nameless deaths
You'll find it in the light
Don't ask how, just feel the flight.
