Thighs are starting to complain about not getting enough recoup time before I torture them some more. Lotta beer keepin me company over here. Not sure of their attraction to me. Rainin pretty good today. Determined to finally get a good bike-riding rain experience, I took off.Stopped short at work, cpl a stops landed me at the brewery. Started with a Triple-X. basket a fries,l a Stout, and decided that even without my normal pack I carry with the bike, I could get a growler home without breakin it. It was/is pouring by that time so I sloshed my way home, walked up the hill. Porter, the f4ral cat at the brewery, kept me company. The growler made it home. Their triple X, or Triple Exhulation but I ended up with a growler of *()&%**$%%commons, thats all I remember. Tucked it in a inner mesh-pocket of my jacket, it got a little rattled but made it safe n sound. Rain was awesome, not so cold as I'm used to. Growlers are about a 5 pint bottle that you can bring in and get refilled for a discount. Nice cus i wouldnt have to be recylclin 6pack of bottle every week; can just go for the refill! Would a been much easier with the pack.

So I'm reading this book written in the late 70s and I come across some reference to the 70s swine flu fiasco. WTF I say?! So I immediately google 1970s swine flu shots and boy do I get a surprise. I'll throw some interesting links out there towards the end. Now I already had decided I would not get vaccinated nor would my family. We never have and never will if I can help it. Now I really stand firm in that decision. I don't want to change anyone's mind but just open a few minds, as mine was after reading this stuff. Turns out in the 70s some soldier contracted a swine flu and a nation-wide scare began. Vaccinations were created and swiftly given out. More people died from the vaccinations than died from the flu! Not only that, many contracted Guillain-Barré syndrome which is a paralyzing disorder. In fact this is still a known, but rare, possible side affect of getting ANY flu shot. Been thinking alot about this since coming across it in a recent Facebook spot, even though the mixed nuts referenced something else. But I believe it applies here. Mixed nuts are a foundation of this great country. It's what makes it such a great country. Wherever you go, whatever town, you open a can of mixed nuts. Sure to find a great assortment of colors, shapes, and flavors. We are all a nut among the mix, each unique with our own flavor, shape, texture, and color. Most importantly, we all come from the same can. So it amazes me that people/groups today are still discriminting against other groups based on WHATEVER their current reason or ideology happens to be. It doesn't matter, they are still discriminating, whatever reason they try to hide it behind. We are all nuts mixed in the great can of America. Accept it, embrace it. If ifs and buts were cherries and nuts every day would be a merry christmas. Deal with it! Sometimes things just don't don't go your way...the wonders of life. Suck it up and drive on!

Its hard being an optimist in a shitty world. Everytime things look your way, someone ends up shittin on the parade. Probably the main reason for being anti-social. People will always end up pissing you off, disappointing you, letting you know that just because we're human and so advanced, emotionally and spiritually, people are really shallow and self-centered. And so it creates someone like me, always an optimist and always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. What a fool I am. Always willing to hope that people will surprise you, figure out the meaning of priorities, morals, common sense. Don't look to religion or schools to pass on the things that matter in life: living, treating people with respect, and being responsible for yourself. We as parents, mentors, or friends need to teach these things to our children; share with them our dreams of a perfect world. I can't believe how wonderful of children I have.
