Friday

Well, Ang goes back tonight. I'll take her this week because I need the car for grocery shopping this weekend in Medford. Stories, stories, and more stories. Ang is getting her load of experiences. She's been catching up with friends and visiting with people. She helped her station cover another station for a couple of hours today. I've been working in the garden, cleaning house, and working on the computer. I've got most of the major fire sites bookmarked for the season. These provide real-time maps and information on every current fire in the country. Was supposed to do a couple of lawns but I decided to put them off until next week. Ang will be working and the kids will be in school (last week) so I'll play catch-up next week.

Garden-- well, its taking off this year because of all the rain we got. Our 2 artichoke plants are about 5 feet tall and have about 20 artichokes on EACH one. Some will be ready next week to pick. Strawberries are in the hundreds as well as our two grapes. The one that gave us tons of grapes last year is full of grapes and our third year red seedless has hundreds of our first grapes on this one. Both our apple trees have their first crops of apples in the dozens on them. Also have planted and growing well: romaine lettuce (our only type we'll eat), carrots, onions, zucchini, cucumbers, squash, green peppers, beans, pumpkins, cilantro, roma tomatoes, and more.

Hope Christy and Jon are staying safe and doing well. I'll have to email both. I've talked to John once via email. Hope they put Michael Jackson away for awhile. Looks like the EU is having a hard time ratifying their new constitution with other members. We'll have to see what impact this has on global economy. Otherwise, nothing too exciting today.

Brother-in-law John and Jenny took our family to dinner last night at Denny's and that was real nice. Tonight we'll be having Papa Murphy's combination stuffed pizza. The thing is absolutely gigantic!!! I haven't eaten yet today, as usual. Breakfast is usually a banana, no lunch, and then dinner. I like to snack late at night since I don't sleep very well.

I average 4-6 hours sleep and can never get to sleep before 0100 and it is usually 0300 before I get to sleep. Don't know why I have such a hard time sleeping. I could sleep forever once I'm asleep but getting there has been a problem for the last 3-4 years. Kids sleep good and they are in bed sleeping by 930 pm. Weekends they stay up however late they want and one of them usually has someone sleeping over or is over at someone else's house sleeping over.

  1. Sounds to me like you should set up a vegetable stand and sell some of those vegetables cause I can't image that you get eat it all. Ang sure sounds like she is working her tail end off. So proud of her. Love you all.
