Friday

Today was decent, even if the temperatures were 95+. I worked around the house in the morning and then went to do my last residential job for the week. Was soooo hot! Then me John Sr (Cathey's new husband) and Emily went for a drive down to the Klamath. John has never been to California so its nice giving him the impression of this beautiful country up here instead of some polluted city. We went gold panning and just walking along the Klamath. We got back and I grabbed Emily, Mariah, and Sam, hopped in the truck,. grabbed 3 foot longs from Subway (for only $8.00 cus I had a bunch of card stamps. Then we cruised to Miner St Park for a concert by some Fleetwood Mac Tribute band. Its a weekly free summer concert series that one of the local banks sponsors every summer. About 400-500 people show up at this beautiful park with lounge chairs and coolers and we just relax and listen to some music. Then Ang called me on my cell and said she had come back for the night so she stopped by and caught the last part of the concert. Was awesome and beautiful. She went to bed early and so I thought I would relax by spilling my thoughts into letters and sentences.

"No taxation without representation" the first rumblings of discontent that would later evolve into revolutionary ideas which formed our country. Will we ever be able to posess revolutionary ideas which are capable of manifesting into reality? Our country is so huge with so many varying ideologies and concepts of realities that I don't think, if the need came to be, we would be able to amass and unify to overthrow those who rule us now. Those early revolutionary ideals seem to have faded into a history book instead of still being the backbone of what our country is about. Its supposed to be about the people but today people just dont care. They'd rather lose themselves in fantasy worlds of tv and books. Sounds great to me. No wonder no one wants to know. Politics is about as corrupt a world as your likely to find anywhere. Let's return to our roots and digress back to a a true republic.

Happy Fourth of July weekend
